As a fellow presenter, I can tell you that I devour feedback whenever I present and it always improves my next presentation. My usual approach is to require it as a "ticket out the door".

Your presentation last fall was fantastic. One of the excellent resources I have relied upon in the past few years is Garr Reynolds work - Presentation Zen and his latest, The Naked Presenter. His work really compliments Dan & Chip Heath's material around making ideas "sticky". You had a bunch of those elements in your presentation in October so you are definitely on the right track.Reid Findlayhttp://www.lwm.sd83.bc.canoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8179740565267828546.post-31801326176951147092011-03-03T15:26:51.811-08:002011-03-03T15:26:51.811-08:00Cale, I used Survey Monkey with my intermediate di...Cale, I used Survey Monkey with my intermediate division students and teachers. Often, people are too kind and would never tell you directly when something is lacking, because for so many people, being critical of their teaching equals being critical of them (which shouldn't be the case, but I digress). They could be honest and I could gather the results to help me plan the next unit.
I also like the Senteo SMART response system for the younger kids, and randomly grabbing people to write down their thoughts about a lesson or unit.MZMollyTLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17565896547458451347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8179740565267828546.post-27896319263379720142011-03-03T06:21:55.830-08:002011-03-03T06:21:55.830-08:00Cale, another thought provoking post. As we know, some peoples' perception is their reality. It might be quite a shock to hear the truth. However, a true professional would use that feedback to improve.Chris Preymaknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8179740565267828546.post-5087777127004275972011-03-02T21:58:02.872-08:002011-03-02T21:58:02.872-08:00Then, does Brad allow for re-tests after the stude...Then, does Brad allow for re-tests after the student has reflected on the incorrect answers (simple mistake and don't get its)? They can make a success plan and demonstrate further learning unit by unit or is this reflection in preparation for a final exam (if he gives one)?Ms. Stotthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00888501570659238289noreply@blogger.com
